I grew up as an only child in Porto, where my love for networking and community-building began early on. As a student, I was deeply involved in leadership roles, serving as the president of student associations both in high school and at university. These experiences shaped my ability to connect with others, a skill that would become invaluable throughout my life.​

My career initially took me into nursing, where I had the chance to help others and make a real difference. In 2012, I made a big move to the UK, spending a year in the peaceful Channel Islands of Guernsey before settling in Reading. While working as an A&E nurse was both rewarding and intense, I found myself needing an escape to balance the high-pressure environment. That escape turned out to be travel.​

I’ve had the joy of exploring over 30 countries, from the vibrant streets of New York and San Francisco to the serene beaches of the Dominican Republic. I’ve soaked up the cultural richness of Southeast Asia, marvelled at the opulence of Dubai, and enjoyed the charm of European cities like Lisbon, Madrid, Paris, and Prague. My travels have even taken me to the breathtaking landscapes of Scandinavia, from Reykjavik’s icy beauty to the enchanting Lapland in Finland.​

Travel quickly became more than a passion—it was a way for me to recharge and rediscover my zest for life. This passion inspired a career shift. I pursued a degree in management, focusing on problem-solving and quality improvement. Today, I work for a healthcare consulting firm in London, helping others in a new way.​

But my love for travel remains strong, which is why I founded WanderswithJT. Here, I aim to offer a personalised travel consultancy service, crafting each journey to fit your unique needs and desires. From the first 1:1 intro call to the final moments of your trip, I’m here to make the process as stress-free as possible.
